Biography

Shane O'Connor is a Vancouver-based screenwriter specializing in thriller, crime, sci-fi, and horror. Known for taut, character-driven stories with dark undertones, his work spans feature films, TV pilots, and short scripts.

His feature What Has To Be Done has been optioned and is in development, while Lake of the Brokenhearted is currently in pre-production with 313 Films. His thriller Vendo was a Finalist in the InkTip 2023 Pitch to Page Screenwriting Thriller Competition.

Shane holds a B.A. Honours in Psychology from the University of Guelph and trained at the Humber College School for Writers and Humber's Screenwriting Program. He has collaborated with studios in Los Angeles, Toronto, and Vancouver, and completed an internship with Scenario Entertainment in LA, where he worked closely with studio executives, literary agents, and managers in story development.
