Amarried couple grieving the tragic loss of their unborn child rent a houseboat on an isolated lake in the wilderness in an attempt to heal their marriage and their traumas. But soon both partners slip into the grasp of an ancient evil force haunting the lake and land that surrounds them, while having to struggle with the dangerous motives of a mysterious hunter living on the other side of the lake.
