For over 100 years humankind has colonized Mars. As nation borders expanded, inter-colony tensions mounted. The culmination: a tainted water scandal that killed thousands throughout Russia Colony. The U.S. Colony was quickly blamed, forcing its government to relinquish control to private enterprise. The American Corporation (TAC) now owns and operates the U.S. colony.

Enter Marcus Callahan, a down-on-his-luck bounty hunter who thought he was making a quick buck reeling in an escaped female convict. Until suddenly he is reassigned -- hired by TAC for a lucrative mission to hunt down and kill the very same female, who turns out is a TAC corporate espionage officer, and has uncovered TAC’s most guarded corporate secret with the potential to jeopardize the already fragile political power structure of the planet.
