Biography

Shane was born on Canada’s east coast in a working-class industrial town to a hard-working Irish family.

After graduating from the psychology program at the University of Guelph, in Guelph, Ontario, earning a B.A. Honours degree in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy, Shane attended graduate studies at the prestigious Humber College School For Writers, and later Humber’s Screenwriting Program, under the mentorship of David Flaherty, who became instrumental in encouraging Shane to pursue a career as a screenwriter.

Shane then landed an internship with Scenario Entertainment in Los Angeles (www.scenario-la.com), where he studied the art and science of Story Development while interfacing with studio execs and literary agents and managers in his insatiable effort to gain a deeper understanding of all things in the industry.

Currently, Shane continues to collaborate on various film projects with studios in Los Angeles, Toronto, and Vancouver as a writer and in a story development capacity. He currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia.
