Rosa is a young Mexican teen who supports her family by working as an assassin for a local drug-cartel in Hermosillo, Mexico. Luis is a young orphaned Native-American from Arizona who makes his living as a cross-border gun smuggler. After a violent and bloody chance encounter in a Mexico nightclub, Rosa and Luis strike up a friendship that soon blossoms into love.
But rumblings of conflict soon shake up their relationship as Rosa grows hungry to leave behind her ultra-violent lifestyle as a sicario for a more normal existence, while Luis begins ambitiously climbing the food-chain of Rosa’s rival cartel. Then, after a fatal on-the-job decision by Rosa leaves her being hunted down by her own cartel, she flees for her life to Arizona and Luis. Meanwhile, a pair of eager DEA agents are in hot pursuit of Luis’ boss, seeking to flush him out and bring him to justice. Power, morality, and love collide viciously in this drug-trade thriller.
